Vallée Bras-du-Nord began its mountain bike development in 2007 in the Shannahan area. This territory was already home to a vast network of hiking trails, accommodations, water activities at the time. In 2008, the first trails in the Saint-Raymond area were created. These two networks, very complementary, are not connected yet. Twenty-five kilometers of magnificent country road separates them.

Shannahan area is the wild side of the Valley. Just 20 minutes from Saint-Raymond, this network of trails cleverly nested among hills of glacial debris brings you deep inside the boreal forest, along vertiginous cliffs, rivers and waterfalls. Two days of riding are possible for beginners as well as experts, with accomodation in camping, yurts or cottages.

Saint-Raymond sector is the countryside of the Valley. Near the village, in a rural setting, 30 km of well-cut singletracks await you. A succession of short climbs and descents full of flow, grouped on two small mountains, that you ride with a big smile on your face, before enjoying a well-earned pint at the microbrewery at the trailhead.

In our humble opinion, an intermediate-advanced cyclist must plan a minimum of three days to explore the entire valley. We suggest two days in the Shannahan area and one day in the Saint-Raymond area.
