The canoe-kayak run downstream of the Bras-du-Nord River is a pioneering family activity that made the Valley famous among outdoors enthusiasts. This calm water pathway features fine sand beaches and many meandering stretches. Flowing through the steep mountains, the majestic Delaney fall reaches the stream. (Shortcut RA trail, RU creek, Bras-du-Nord B2). This sweet escape offers wild landscapes striking with natural beauty, that harkens back to far away times.

Two short easy level (R1) rapids parts that require basic skills in canoeing
Shallow water in the summer means no boat carrying.
Please take note that the participants must be able to swim alone with their life jacket in case the canoe or kayak tips over. We do not allow young children to do this activity because of the risks they are exposed to.
Vallée Bras-du-Nord offers canoe as well as single and double kayak rental. This service includes boat transportation, paddles, and right of access. (Rental of life jackets and dry bag not offered).
BRING YOUR OWN LIFE JACKETS (NOT PROVIDED WITH THE RENTAL).
Canoes can board up to two adults and one child under 10.
Please note that dogs aren't allowed on the river.
From Victoria Day until St-Jean-Baptiste, Saturday and Sunday only.

Clients who rent a boat:
Plan two cars to make your own shuttle between Cantin and Shannahan offices. THE SHUTTLE SERVICE IS SUSPENDED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. HOWEVER BOAT SHUTTLE IS TAKEN CARE OF BY VALLÉE BRAS-DU-NORD. Take possession of your canoe or kayak BEFORE 11:30 AM.
Clients who own their own boat:
Clients who own their own boat must pay the right of access to the river at Accueil Shannahan.
A taxi service is available.
Rates include boat, right of access to the river, boat transportation and paddles. (Taxes not included). *Holiday and construction holidays.
