Many nomads in Central Asia use yurts as habitat. This round tent is made of a wooden frame on which is stretched a solid and insulated canvas. It has a single room, lit by a skylight at the top. The large windows give the impression of being surrounded by nature in a rustic environment. The wood stove provides comfort and warmth in winter.
|Closest access in Vallée Bras-du-Nord||Less than 1 km (walking only) from the Shannahan center by the Castor trail (See map)|
|Maximum capacity||4 persons (the village features 8 yurts)|
|Dogs allowed||Yes (Inside l’Auréole and Nymphe only)|
No access by car nearby. Personal items should be carried on foot about 1 km (600 meters to 1 kilometers depending on the yurt reserved). A cart or a sled (depending on the season) per yurt is at your disposal for the length of your stay to help you transport your luggage. We strongly recommend to transport your luggage with a backpack and use the cart/sled for heavier items such as a cooler.
Please note that all visitors must stop before their stay at the main welcome point (Roquemont) to complete the final details of booking and get their right of access for activities.
